SKILL UP!: The Gathering

A gathering for shared survival, collective joy, and the skills to build something better.

We live in a world built on extraction — of labor, land, time, and trust. But beneath that world, another is always growing. In kitchens and gardens, in libraries and basements, in backyards and occupied buildings, people are already teaching each other how to live otherwise.

Skill Up! is a people powered knowledge exchange and community gathering rooted in anti-capitalist and anarchist values — mutual aid, horizontal learning, shared responsibility, and resistance to all forms of domination. It’s not a conference, it’s not a classroom. There are no experts, no spectators, no hierarchy of voices. It’s a space where knowledge moves in every direction — between hands, across generations, through stories, and under fences.

We’re calling for proposals from anyone who wants to share a skill, a practice, or a conversation that helps us take care of each other and push back against the systems that harm us. From tool repair to transformative justice, from herbal medicine to organizing strategy — if it helps us live with dignity and autonomy, it belongs here.

Let’s gather. Let’s learn. Let’s build the world we actually want — together, and from below.
